Our Objective of Bottles 4 Babies
The objective of the Bottles 4 Babies drive is to bring awareness and advocacy to the needs of minority women and their maternal health and perinatal needs. By collecting essential baby items, we aim to help alleviate financial stressors related to the upkeep of their child(ren).
The Mission of Project Cradle Care
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority’s Project CRADLE Care is one of our essential programs designed to raise awareness of disparate and inequitable maternal and infant health outcomes Black women endure through community outreach, advocacy, education, and implicit bias training. In so doing, we aim to mitigate outcome and life-course disparities in our communities.
Through Project CRADLE Care, we collaborate with area, regional and national programs to address the issues that adversely affect Black women and their children ranging from chronic physiological stressors and underlying health conditions to structural racism and implicit biases in our healthcare system.

Bottles 4 Babies Initiative
Central Region,
As Undergraduate Student Coordinator for the Captivating Central Region, I have the charge of leading the Central Region undergraduate chapters of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. with community service projects that align with our National Programs. Project Cradle Care is one of our Essential Programs geared to address maternal and infant disparities in our communities. I take personal privilege in leading this year's initiative, Bottles 4 Babies, which is a collection drive aimed to assist local child agencies with essential childcare items. Your donations are necessary in providing critical resources for these young families in the Greater Chicagoland area. We welcome donations such as bottles, wipes, diapers, and onesies, as well as monetary donations. Our goal is to raise $5,000 and collect 19,022 resources.
Let's give the gift of a healthy start and make a greater impact for our 85th Centennial Central Region Conference!
